When can I join PreStar™?
When is a fixed-rate vested benefit account or securities deposit interesting?
- When you change pension plans
- When you change employer
- If you cease gainful employment (parenthood, trip abroad, etc.).
- If you become self-employed
- In the event of a divorce settlement (allocation of pension assets)
- If you leave Switzerland and move abroad
Moving abroad
Since 1 July 2007, you may no longer apply for cash payment of the compulsory portion of your vested termination benefit when moving to an EU member state or to Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway if you are subject to compulsory retirement, death and disability coverage under the laws of that country (Article (1)(a) FZG/LFLP).
- If you take early retirement
PreStar™ offers extremely attractive options for your vested benefits. You can choose between the account solution with above average interest and 3 different investment strategies with an equity content of 25%, 40% and 60% respectively.
To qualify for the securities solution, you need to complete a risk check when initiating the account relationship. It is in your own interest to ensure that the investment strategy you choose is consistent with your risk profile.
